An Earthquake Was Felt in California on April 4, 2010, Mostly in the San Diego and Los Angeles Area. The Earthquake Registered a 6.9 on the Richter Scale
A 6.9 earthquake was reported to have hit offshore of Baja California, Mexico. The earthquake was reportedly felt in California and Arizona.
The quake occurred around 3:40 pm Pacific time six miles southwest of Guadalupe Victoria and 108 miles east of Tijuana.
Earthquake Felt in San Diego
There are varying reports about the length of the LA San Diego earthquake. Some reporters from FOX News are reporting via Twitter:
“Co-workers at our Fox station in San Diego say they had time to panic, think, get out of the house and it still lasted another 10 seconds.”

There were also reports in San Diego that the force of the California earthquake caused high-rise buildings in San Diego to swing back and forth for as did high-rise towers in downtown Los Angeles.
Throughout LA County, there were plenty of reports of an earthquake being felt. People reported chandeliers swung and water sloshed around in swimming pools in suburbs. Overall, there have been no serious reports of damage in California and Arizona.
At this point, there have been no reports of serious injuries due to the California earthquake.
CNN is reporting that people are trapped in an elevator at the Disneyland Hotel.
