A badly mutilated body of a 20-year-old girl, believed to be a Russian, was found on the Konkan railway tracks at Tollea Koden, Revora, on Friday morning.
According to Mapusa police, the manner in which major parts of the body strewn on the tracks, indicated that the victim was run over by a train after she fell off from the train.
A hand bag containing some documents in Russian language was found at the site.
PI Manjunath Dessai is investigating the case under the supervision of Mapusa SDPO DySP Sammy Tavares.
