Police across the state has intensified beach patrolling along the coastline. Closed Circuit Television cameras are installed to monitor movements on the beaches and policeman behind the bunkers will keep a watch on movements on the beach.This step was taken to avoid any sorts of terrorist attack after Goa was on high alert as reports
that Goa was a possible terror target.
Bunkers have also been installed at Miramar, Dona Paula, Calangute, Baga and Santa Monica Jetty. Beside this, armed policeman and tourist police are seen patrolling the beach areas.
Police is also closely co-ordinating with 5-star resorts close to beaches to provide CCTVs and monitor the movements and incase of any suspicion to alert the police force.
