While Ritesh Deshmukh is the son of former Maharashtra chief minister Vilasrao Deshmukh and belongs to a Maharashtrian family, Genelia D’Souza was born into a Mangalorean Catholic family. That is why the wedding was also conducted in a Christian-style at a Church in suburban Bandra.

The truce was reportedly brokered by producer Sajid Nadiadwala and director Sajid Khan both of who are close to Shahrukh and Farah. From what we hear, it was Sajid Nadiadwala who sent an SMS to Gauri Khan asking if they can come over to Mannat along with Farah Khan and Shirish Kunder to sort out the matter.

Gauri Khan’s reply was very positive as she reportedly told them that they are all welcome any time and don’t need a permission to come.Thereafter, Shirish Kunder, Farah Khan, Sajid Khan and Sajid Nadiadwala drove to Shahrukh Khan’s residence Mannat on Tuesday evening and met him. They were inside Mannat for about three hours.
